Hanoverian Horses
15.3hh - 16.2hh
Any solid color.

Established in 1735 by King George II of England, Elector of Hanover, this breed of warmbloods was originally meant to provide the local people with inexpensive, good farm stock. The original Hanoverian was of predominantly Holstein stock. With the infusion of Thoroughbred blood, the Hanoverian became a good all-purpose animal capable of working the land, being ridden and as a light carriage horse. Today, the Thoroughbred and Trakehner influence continues to refine the breed.
Like all warmbloods, a horse must not only be the right breeding, they must also pass a strenuous approval process to be registered Hanoverian. Conformation, gaits, their particularly even temperament and ridability are all factors in the rigorous testing. Among the world's most sought-after sports horses, the Hanoverian's strength and athleticism make them especially suitable for dressage and show jumping.
